HI Sue,
The NBI is on line too. The producers of the NBI on CD are the Federation
of Family History Societies and they have put the NBI online at their
website. You can search the index for free but when you see a result that
interests you and want to look at any other details for that entry you need
to pay. You can pay online with your credit or debit card, minimum is 5GBP
and as each entry only costs on average around 5pence to view you can get
around 100 views for a 5GBP fee, there being 100pence to 1GBP. I use thi
form of the NBI a lot and it is updated now and then, which puts it more up
to date than the CD version.
There are a few other records on the site but the larger part if the NBI.
