Hi Listers
Despite everything these two still remain elusive, looking in and around the
Bishops Stortford, Herts.area and over the border into Essex.
David WADHAMS (between 1901 and 1916) and Julia WADHAMS (after 1920 before
1940). Possible address Elm Grove, Dunmow Road, Bishops Stortford
Most of their children were baptised, married and christened in All Saints,
Hockerill, Bishops Stortford, so it's possible that they too were buried
there. Have been there once but unable to find any MI's. Did get to look at
a memorial book in the church, but nothing in there either. I have them and
their children on the 1901 in West Ham but David is listed as 'dec' on
marriage certificates in March and December 1916
It's possible that they're are buried in another cemetery in the area. It
is of course also possible that they died in hospital but I haven't been
able to establish which hospitals would have been open in the area around
the time.
It's all very 'needle in a haystack' type searching and I'm at a loss as to
which way to turn. They are not on 1837online, we have trawled through
there in the hope of finding them. I am currently trying to work my way
through the FreeBMD images but I am beginning to lose hope. It's a very
long and slow process as I am trying to look at the possible variations on
the spelling of the surname WADDAM/S, WODHAM/ S, WOODHAM/S etc
Thanks
Bev Wadhams
