Hi Everyone,
New Lister. This looks a busy list so am hoping someone can help me. Can
anyone tell me anything about the Seamens' Childrens' Orphange Asylum at
Wanstead please. I know it was built about 1862 and eventually became a
hospital. One of my blood relatives is listed there in the 1891 census aged
12. I am just wondering how on earth he was placed there when his home town
was South Shields Co Durham, and there was a seamens orphanage close by in
Sunderland. Any ideas anyone?
Also is anyone researching BONNET please?
