Hi Listers,

Slightly off-topic... but certainly of genealogical importance, so I hope I
don't get rapped over the knuckles my list-owners.

Has anyone else noticed that the census search results are NOT bringing up
the parishes in the "where born" field?

i.e. if you've asked for BROWN born Norfolk............ and hope to pick up
your person......... you've got umpteen hundred more people to try and
discern, as you can't see the parish/place.

I've double checked some old search results, with what appears now, and it's
clearly a change in format (within the past 2-3 days).

I have emailed ancestry, to see what they say, hoping this is a temporary
gliche, but IF they've decided in their infinite wisdom that this is the way
of the future......... won't it require all of us who have subscribed to
protest?

I don't require responses to this........ I just wanted to alert others who
are subscribers that there is a change (for the worse), in case you "think"
your person isn't actually there after all, because it doesn't show. (I
know that'll make sense to users!)
