Hi Mick
Diwali - pronounced Divali - is the celebration of the Hindu New Year and is
a festival of light. Special diva lamps are lit but fireworks also feature
heavily now as well. I'm not sure of the date but it is uaually around this
time of year after Firework Night.
Regards
Lesley

Hi everyone,
it is only in the last 5 or 6 years that Halloween has been celebrated as
such here, trick or treat and is not really a problem.... yet. All Saints
Day
and the churhes are full and relatives place flowers on their relatives
graves.
Scuse my ignorance but what is Dipali?
Regards, Mick (warm S.France)
