I went to Hamleys with my daughter a few years ago and it seemed so small,
not the big cavernous place I remembered from my childhood, rather spoiled
the memories for me actually. I suppose when one is little, everything
seems so much bigger than it really was. I do remember that goo that you
blew up, cant remember what it was called though, and there was some kind of
sticky stuff (not quite plasticine) that you could make into little buds and
put them on sticks to make flowers with. Who remembers sitting in the
playground at school playing 5 stones or pick up sticks? I wonder if kids
still do that today, I kind of doubt it though, much too dangerous playing
with sticks and stones!
