Ourt fizzies were delivered by Neptune! Will I ever forget the
name of the supplier? No.
Has Neptune called today? we used to ask...........
Barkers of Kensington used to have overhead wires on which was
suspended a carrier for cash. The cashier sat high up in a pulpit
affair, in the centre of the shop. The carriers whizzed back and
forth at a rate of knots.
The tube version is used today, in Tesco's..........
Winkles, etc.Yuck!
The Walls "Stop me and buy one" man would come our driveway to
sell us ice cream through the window.
Ah! Those were the days :0(
I was a lot younger! :0)

: You're right, I was wrong, it wasnt White's fizzy drinks it was
Corona, getting my fizzies all mixed up - signs of a befuddled
brain :-) No winkle man, poor you, you dont know what you
missed - fresh winkles, cockles, shrimps and mussels, yum yum,
for tea on a Sunday. Or failing that, a trip down to Lee on Sea
to sit on the sea wall eating them freshly gathered.

: Well, I recall the Corona man (in Nottingham, early 1950s)
bringing soft drinks. A knife grinder called once, in the late
1960s or possibly even 1970s (Kings Lynn, Norfolk). No winkle man
though as far as I recall
