Not a nice decision to have to make. If sure this was the case, I think I'd
officially forget this line and focus on another one rather than potentially
break up my family over a family tree.
I imagine you've checked against the original data for the 1881 census? I
understand that the LDS 1881 census has a lot of errors, like so many other
transcriptions. I once climbed up someone else's family tree, convinced it
was mine because the surname concerned was a common one and there were a
number of uncanny coincidences between my family and the other one.
