Hi all,
I'm hoping that someone may be able to suggest burial sites and better yet, a way to contact someone who could give me specific grave site information for two people who died in West Ham district.
1) Albert John Drew drowned in the Thames at the Royal Albert Docks on May 6, 1882. He lived in that area, perhaps at 71 Morgan Street and I am as certain as I can be that they'd have belonged to the Church of England.
(I have not yet been able to locate a copy of the coroner's inquest report or find a newspaper that would have carried the information)
2) Hannah (aka Anna) Drew, his widow, died November 18, 1920 at her daughter and son-in-law's home at Sunnyside, Grove Park, Wanstead. Her home address at the time was 103 Chestnut Avenue, Walthamstow.
While I'm at it, is there anyone who can give me any information on Sunnyside, Grove Park, Wanstead. I've been able to find Grove Park on a modern map but would very much like to know more about that area in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Thanks,
Eleanor in B. C. Canada
