Dear Kathy,
There is a very open Freemason's museum. It may be at their big centre
at Connaught House near Covent Garden in London. I saw their leaflets in
the Guildhall Library. They do searches.
You could try a search on Connaught House. The web-site is
http://www.freemasonry.london.museum/
One of my Vice Presidents Mrs Pat Lewis has written "My ancestor was a
Freemason" published by the Society of Genealogists 1999.
