Wivenhoe as you may already know was a large port, you may have to search all main ports on the east coast at that time, for example, Maldon, Colchester, Barking, Grimsby, Yarmouth and so on,

Can any of our members help me, I'm looking for my GGGG Grandfathers 1st wife Catherine BRIMER or BRINER. I know John PITTICK married Catherine BRIMER in Wivenhoe in 1784 but neither of them were born there. Has anyone come across the BRIMER / BRINER surname anywhere in the Essex area.
