I'd like to thank everyone for their help in deciphering the name. The
consensus of opinion centres on either "HOFFMAN" or "HOPPMAN".

Neither of these names are exactly common in England, to say the least.

I shall have to keep going in the hope that somewhere amongst the REBOW
papers I find something relating to her maintenance payments.
