Hello list

I have hit a brickwall-one of many, this one is quite frustrating as in
history terms we are not talking about a long time ago. Here we go, details
are,

My Grandmother according to a 1900 marriage certificate, her maiden name was
Dorothia Sophia Gould Willis, by the time of the 1901 census, she had
married my Grandfather Robert Davey, her place of birth is recorded as
Plaistow, she, was also born after the 1881 census, The only record I can
find of a birth in St Catherine's records is one of a Sophia Jane Gould born
18th December 1881 the daughter of Sophia Gould & Thomas Willis, living at
66 Scott Street, Plaistow. The Father's name is correct, but the Christian
names are different, are these two ladies one of the same, I have been
told that she had a thing about her name. So, has any one out there access
to the 1891 census for West Ham/Plaistow, so that I may ask for a look-up,
to verify the name of the child in the household.

If they are one of the same, both parents were born in Devonport.

Thank you so much.

Richard
