Thank you for the "picture" of Southminster.

Funny that you should also mention Tilingham - in 1900, Harry CHAPMAN,
son of George CHAPMAN of Southminster married Sarah DOWSETT, whose
father John was born in Tillingham. The DOWSETTs also moved to Co.
Durham in the 1870's. I wonder if there was a small exodus of
agricultural workers in search of better wages in the coal mines of the
North-east at this time.
