Good Evening listers,
My name is Jean Stangroom I live in Norfolk,I am a member of the NFHS mn 3195,I am also a trustee of the society in charge of the book stall.
My interest in Essex is the REV WILLIAM BOLTON Dissenting Baptist Minister of Thorpe le Soken,he was born in Norfolk 1776 of pious parents,he was sent to Essex in 1800 to help set up the Baptist church,he is mentioned in Thorpe le Soken book by E.A.WOODS.
He married Susan (possibly a SADLER)and had at least 5 children his eldest son William BOLTON born 1803 in Thorpe le Soken being my ancestor.
I have been in contact with the Baptist Church and I have a bit of information on his wife Susan,I also know that he married twice second wife was JANE PEACH BOLTON.
He died in Finsbury London in 1854,I have his will from the P.C.C wills on-line.
I am looking for any ancesters that may still live in Essex.
Perhaps from his other son JOSEPH SADLER BOLTON.
Rev William BOLTON also kept a detailed diary I would like to find any information as to were this diary might be.
I hope one of your listers may be able to help me.
I offer any research in Norfolk in return.
Jean
