Dear Ron,

Am also looking for WOOD of the ROMFORD area.

Details are sketchy as my father is getting on in years but his mother was
Agnes Mary Ann OUTTEN who married John DEED in 1904. Dad tells me that for
many years he thought his mother's maiden name to be WOOD/WOODS as he
remembers from his childhood Gran and Grandad WOODS. It wasn't until many
years of carrying his birth certificate around during the war that he
discovered his mothers maiden name as OUTTEN.

He remembers certain WOOD/WOODS family members and asked me some time ago to
see if I could piece together the mystery. Off the top of my head I remember
him naming a Lily and a Kate and at the moment can't lay my hands on the
other info. I will ask Dad when I next see him.

As far as we can ascertain at this point Dad's mum was probably born out of
wedlock and then her mother married shortly after the birth.

Will be in contact again soon, hope you can follow this email. Maybe we are
related!

Regards
Penny
