Subject: HUM & DORMAN family names
Date: Tue, 19 Nov 2002 09:06:49 +1100
This might be a long shot but I was wondering if there is anyone on the list
who is researching the names HUM or DORMAN.
I am not connected to these names but John HUM & John DORMAN were mentioned
in Essex Summer Quarter Sessions Crown Court on 28 June 1831 (Chairman
J.DISNEY esq.) where my ancestor Joseph DICKERSON was charged with stealing
from them.
A report of this trial was published in the Chelmsford Chronicle for Friday
1st July 1831
Joseph was living at Great Bentley at this time and I am trying to pin down
his movements, so if I can find a common location for all three it may help
in some small way.
Many thanks in advance,
Helen
