Hello Joanne,

Just had a look for you on my CD Archive CD of "The Visitations of Essex"
which covers 1552, 1558, 1570, 1612 and 1634.

In the Raymond family in 1558 there is a Jane [aka Joane in a later
Visitation] daughter of John Perrey of Dunmow Priory.

In the Marlar family in 1612 there is a Margarett daughter of Thom. Peryre
of Bardefeild, Essex. [her husband William Marlar of Kelvedon made his will
37 of Q Eliz 1595].

Having looked on my current A-Z of Gt Britain.there is Gt Bardfield,
Bardfield Eng Green, Bardfield Saling - these are just a little to the NE of
Gt Dunmow, and Nazeing is approx 18 miles SW of Gt Dunmow.

Perhaps this may give you some ideas of areas of possible research. You
could try now to contact the Essex RO and also check for any Manorial
records or similar.

Hopes this helps.
