Subject: Mc ELWEE Help!
Date: Mon, 14 Jan 2002 04:13:16 EST

Good morning
I have hit a complete brick wall and wonder if someone can help please!

I have a marriage of a Samuel Mc ELWEE to a Florence KERRIDGE in 1893 in
Buckhurst Hill Essex.
Samuel was born approx 1868 and his fathers name was Patrick, yet there is no
trace of the surname in the 1881 census.

I presume the surname is Irish which would explain why I cannot find it but
surely they were in Essex at some time as he married in 1893.
Has anyone else come across this name?
