Hello
I am new to the list. I descend from a family JOYES of West Sussex. My
father's elder brother moved to Grays Thurrock, Essex, where he had a
department store for many years. I am in contact with his grandchildren.

However in studying the GRO indexes for BDMs I notice that there has been an
established group of JOYES, living mostly around Brentford from much
earlier times. I have wondered where they originated and if there is a
connection with my line.

If anyone is researching the name,or has a link, do please contact me.
