Subject: Where to access GRO Index's locally

Hello Essex Listers, can anyone tell me the nearest 'place' that has access to the GRO indexes. I live over the border in Suffolk. (I have been to the LDS Church at Ipswich, but they always seem fully booked, and I can never get a machine available, when I suddenly have an afternoon free). I know Colchester, Chelmsford, and Ipswich RO's does not hold them, so where else is there, other than travelling to London, which is getting very difficult for me to do.
