On several occasions I have come across 'batch' baptisms when a new
Rector/Vicar had recently appeared on the scene.
Sometimes these involved more than one family and I have always presumed,
rightly or wrongly, that he had been catching up on his parishioners!
It also seems to have happened when a family were newcomers to a parish.
