It has just occured to me that there maybe something available
that I can look at to try and get through my brick wall.
I have Samuel & Caroline SMITH (nee MACKLIN) living
in 1900 at 47 Montreal Road, Chadwell St Mary, Essex
AND
Charles James GARDINER with wife Emily ( nee SMITH)
living in 1903 at 60 Montreal Road, Chadwell St Mary, Essex
(no blood relation to both Smith's that I know of)

a child of SMITH and daughter of GARDINER married in 1921
and both were living at Tilbury Docks (in a house not the dock)

I am trying to find any more children of both parties and also the
death of Samuel & Caroline SMITH and Charles GARDINER
I know GARDINER was deceased by 1921
Also the marriage of SMITH & GARDINER.

Samuel & Caroline SMITH were married 18 Oct 1884 at
St Peter & Paul's, Grays, Essex..
The first child I can find was Robert Maferking SMITH born
1900 Chadwell St Mary. I now believe there were children
before him, possibly a female named Gentilia (aka Genty)
she married a Frederick INGRAM
(dates unknow but possibly by 1921)

After that long winded passage, where do I go from here?
What is available for me that may be able to help me find
any more information, children, deaths etc.
I thought there may be some record available that would show who
else was living in Montreal Road, Chadwell-St-Mary in the early 1900's.
I would appreciate ANY advice.
This is such a difficult name to look into (SMITH) and on both
sides doesn't help. I wish I had any other name but SMITH.
