Apologies for posting but couldnt resist
Having been raised in New Zealand as a kid, i was taught in feet and inches
and am used to miles. But as i now reside in Australia and have for about 20
years, i am still on the right side of 50 years, both coutries now have the
metric system I still talk re the height of a person in feet and inches, as
well as in miles although quite often say that a town or a place is so many
k's away.

>Hi everyone
>Of course people in England want distances in miles on kilometres. Anyone
travelling on roads in England will tell you that all distances between
places are shown on road signs in the English way not the European way ie
miles not kilometres. I am relatively young but I don't understand
kilometres but I do know how far somewhere is away in miles.
