Does SKS or anyone know or could suggest how to find records relatin to my grandfather. Searching the BMD's reveal nothing about his birth, marriage or death.

My father's birth cert. in 1900, Christchurch, Southwark shows his father as Paul Toth and mother Hannah Harriet TOT nee HORSMAN. But on my father's wedding Cert., in 1930, his father shown as William Paul TOTH, deceased.

Have full details of Hannah's birth & death cert's. Told that as a woman in her twenties she worked in FRance for a while. Could she have married him there?
Why no death record of grandad in the UK?

Recall mum saying dad's father died while dad was very young. Searched death indexes from 1900 to 1915 - no luck.

Open to suggestions please.
