Gatwick is in Sussex so try the Sussex list.
With that number of windows it sounds more like the late 19C Chrystal Palace
exhibition centre. One of the largest and grandest houses in Essex is
Audley End built by the Earl of Suffolk to entertain King James 1. Photos I
have of this house show that Audley End only has a fraction of the number of
windows you mention.
Just to check in case you meant Stansted Airport, I have perused a 19C map
of that area which is west of Great Dunmow and can see no mention of a
Dunmow Hall, neither where the airport is now situated nor close by. Many
other halls/houses are mentioned.

>I am trying to locate info on a large house, called DUNMOW HALL, that was
once in my family. It had, I am told, 365 windows in the front, and large
circular steps leading to the front door that was a floor above ground. My
cousin believes that it was between 200 and 300 feet wide and the steps were
about 50 foot wide. In the late 1950s or early 1960s, it was in quite a
state of disrepair, and has since been pulled down for Gatwick Airport, I
believe.

old house for my tree. Can anyone out there possibly help me, please?
Thanks in advance!
