Subject: Reposting HAWKES and STACE

As I have been absent from the list for a little while I thought that I
would repost the names in which I have an interest. I have unfortunately
been unable to make any visits to the records office in between as I am
suffering a knee injury but as there are some new subscribers I thought I
would issue another cry for help.

I am looking for anything to do with Richard and Catherine HAWKES who
produced their first son John in 1831 at Kingsland Road, Haggerston,
Shoreditch. Any sign of this couple before or after this date would be
welcome. They did not seem to have remained at that address. By the time he
was 30, John had removed to Poplar but there is no sign of his parents. He
was married and about to produce his first son at the time of the 1861
Census. There is a possibility that this couple may have come from Epping
and that Catherine's maiden name may have been STACE. She may have been born
sometime between 1800 and 1810. The same goes for Richard HAWKES.

TIA
