Subject: SBCGS Lookup Volunteer
Hi Betty
I volunteer at the Immigrant Genealogy Society and have access to a
lot of
German research materials, including but not limited to the following:
1) Germans to America Passenger lists, 1850 to approx. 1889
2) Wuerttemberg Immigration Indexes Volumes 1 thru 7 60,000 names 3)
Most of the published German Ortsippenbuchs (town clan books)
(website to see the list is:
http://w3g.med.uni-giessen.de/gene/misc/ofb/ofind.html)
I also do some Mennonite Research with the following sources:
1) I have the GRANDMA Database on my computer. This database is a
pedigreetype database of the 18,000 Mennonite Germans from Russia who
immigrated to the USA in 1874/1875 from the Ukraine, and their
descendants-400,000 names
