I have several ancestors who came from Essex County, England
to the American colonies before 1700; and I would like to
correspond with anyone who might know of these families:

COGGESHALL, merchants in London - lived in Halstead

GENTRY from Essex County - two British soldiers, Samuel and
Nicholas who came to this country to help quell Bacon's
rebellion and decided to stay in this country.

CORNELIUS from Essex County

SHERMAN, clothiers - lived in Dedham

DARNELL - from Essex County

REYNOLDS - shippers and traders from London and Gravesend

THOMAS PHILPOTT - keeper of Hyde Park, London before 1645

OLIVER - from Essex County
