As a new member of the Essex List may I share my interests:
ADAMS - with Thomas and Amelia (nee STONE) moving to Romford, Essex,
c1843, and their 10 children were born there 1844-1861. Thomas
became Cooperage Manager of the local Ind Coope Brewery. The shop
"S W ADAMS Ltd, General Ironmongers & Builders Merchants" of
South Street and later Market Place, was part of the family.
CAFFELL - with Henry Francis (1837-1914) having a moulding business in Stratford,
Essex, est 1900-1914.
DAVEY - Phoebe (b. 1852, Orsett, Essex; d. 1880, Bahamas, West Indies), daughter
of Abraham (b.c1821, Aveley, Essex) and Mary Ann . (b.c1821, South
Ockendon), married Henry ADAMS 14 Sept 1877 (Romford). Abraham
was a builder, moving to Romford c1853 and still there in 1881.
JACOBS - with Catherine born 17 Jan 1818, Leyton, Essex, daughter of John
JACOBS (b. c1791, Dennington, Suffolk) and Sarah . (b. c1792).
Their next 6 children were born in Hackney, Mdx. John was a Poulterer.
LEWIS - see STONE
STONE - with Ameila born c1817, Upminster, Essex, daughter of Thomas (1783-
1834) and Elizabeth LEWIS who were married 12 Nov 1804 (St Lawrence,
Upminster).
