Hi there

I am researching the POWELL family from Walton-On-The-Naze - From the 1851
census I have found my GGG Grandad James POWELL residing at 49 Martillo
Road Walton. The microfilm was very hard to read, and therefore the
address may not be 100% correct.

Please, can anyone tell me whether this address still exists ? Is there
any book I can purchase on the history of Walton ?

James was 45 - Occupation Ag Labourer born Walton Essex ; Wife - Hannah (I
think, very hard to read) Age 42 - Charwoman - born Essex (cannot read
town); Daughter Mary (I think) Age 11 Born Walton Essex ; Son Philip (My
GG Grandfather) Age 9 Born Walton, Daughter Sarah Age 7 Born Walton.

How would I go about finding if James had any siblings ?

Also researching the BELL family - sisters Ann Maria born Dovercourt Essex
approx. 1845 and Jane Sophia born Dovercourt Essex approx. 1847. Their
father, I am told, was a Captain. (of what I do not know).

Also researching the BYE family, James BYE born approx 1801 and wife Mary
born approx 1810 - grandparents of Jane Sophia BELL.

Does anyone have any connections with the above ?
