Hi Krista.
The Polar Trainig School at Brentwood was a large boarding school owned by
the London Brough of Poplar. It was seen as sending the orphans out to the
country for a better start in life.
The building is still in Brentwood and used for Adult Education by Essex
County Council who bought it from Poplar Council. Therefore I should
imagine that all records were returned to London.
Poplar is now part of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
Suggest that you contact the East of London Family History Society, as they
may now something about the records.
They is just a slight chance that the records remained in Essex and went to
the record office so check their web-site on:
www.essexcc.gov.uk
This will then take you through to the record office and their catalogue.
Good luck
Bob Newman
