Brian Leverich and Karen Isaacson, who run and maintain the Rootsweb server,
have worked long and hard to set up an online archive system and search engine
for our mailing lists. Messages for the last few weeks have been loaded on and,
so I understand, the rest will follow soon.

The search engine is located at

http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl

On this page, type in the name of the list - ESSEX-UK - and then follow the
instructions to search for the subject of your choice.

List messages will be added approximately weekly, during which time the search
engine will be temporarily switched off. If you get the 'unavailable' message then
please don't panic, just try again a bit later!
