Subject: My Genealogy on de Herrera

My oldest known ancestor is Juan Antonio de Herrera. I am not sure if he was
born
in New Mexico (USA) or Neuva Espana circa 1750. He was married twice in New

Mexico. His first wife was Juana Atencio and they were married 15 September
1776
and they had five children: Juan Jose, Pascuala, Jose Antonio, Juana Josefa
and
my ggg grandfather, Francisco Antonio de Herrera. Antonio's 2nd wife was
named
Maria Montes-Vigil and they were married 14 January 1793 and they had 5 more

children: Maria Antonia, Jose Miguel, Maria de Jesus, Maria del Carmen and
Maria
de Gracia. Francisco Antonio was born in 1784 and married Maria Estela
Espinosa.
They too had a large family. Their son, and my great grandfather, Luicano
was born
in 1823 and married to Andrea Garcia. All of this occurred in New Mexico
and I believe
that my family migrated from Neuva Espana in 1598 but, I am unable to prove
it as yet.

I am speculating that the de Herrera family came from Cadiz but, I don't
know for
sure.

My unanswered questions are:
1. Who were his parents?
2. Are there any lists or patterns of immigrants from Andalusia from 1500s
through
1700s that could possibly help me in my search?
3. Does anyone out there have any information that is related to my family?
