Dear Karen
Thank you for your offer - my grandfather was ( Albert) Bartle/
Bartell. I think he was from the WEST HAM area of London, and as he
probably died late 1916, I am thinking that he might possibly have
been in the ESSEX Regiment who were at the Somme.
