Any lister with links/knowledge of any of these families ?
Baker research: Emily Hewett's maiden name was Baker (from birth
registration of Charles H. E.). *She was a daughter, born April 30,
1871, of Edmund Baker (39: b.August 25, 1841), machinist, and Emily
Crocker (33), 34 Alma Street, Bermondsey. [1881 census] This couple
married December quarter 1869, Vol. 1d, page 187, St. Georges Southwark.
The marriage took place on December 25, 1869, at St. Mary Magdalene
Church, Southwark; both were from Pages Walk; his father was Joseph
Baker, commercial clerk; mother: Jane Mary Anne Phillimore, both of Old
Windsor, Berkshire. At birth date, Joseph Baker was in service at Old
Windsor. Nothing further on this couple yet found. Detail from Edmund's
birth certificate.
