Richard was born 8 December 1858 in Ft. Wayne, Allen County, Indiana. He was the son of Ray Jackson Enyart and Matilda Ring. He married Iola Loyd on 17 February 1891 in Sumner, Lawrence County, Illinois. She was born 20 July 1871 in Vincinnes, Knox County, Indiana. She died 20 July 1954 in Springfield, Greene County, Missouri.
