Correction: the location of Cannon Hall is Cawthorne not Hawthorne.

Hello Marie

You could try one or more of the following attractions:

http://www.ncm.org.uk/default.asp (national coal mining museum - well worth
a day out, something for everyone)

http://www.aboutbritain.com/CannonHallHouseMuseum.htm (Cannon Hall,
Hawthorne)

The archives and local history library were, on my last visit (last year)
situated on the top floor of the central library (in Shambles Street):

Local%20Studies
