I go back to James Beaumont b Hoyland (about 5 miles south of Barnsley)
~1775.
Farmer of Hoyland, Married Elizabeth Lockwood at Wath 31st December 1795,
died Hoyland 1843

Lots of Allotts (Shopkeepers at the crossroads, Doctors) in Hoyland/Hoyland
Common in the 1940's and 1950's
The crossroads at HC was called "Allotts Corner", next street east was
called Allott Street.
