On Tuesday next, 19th June, there is a meeting of the above Society at which
we hope to welcome Pauline Litton, well-known family historian, who is to
give a talk on the importance of parish registers in relation to researching
your family tree.
Pauline is the Vice-President of the Federation of Family History Societies,
author of many family history books and regular contributor to the Family
Tree Magazine. She is also Secretary to the Yorkshire Parish Register
Section of the Yorkshire Archaeological Society.
The meeting will be open to members and non-members alike, entrance free,
and will be held at our usual venue, the St. Paul's Church Hall, off
Greenfoot Lane, Barnsley (near to the Barnsley District General Hospital),
commencing at 7.30 pm (doors open at 7 pm).
Why not come along and listen to this very knowledgeable lady.
Joan Smith, Speakers Organiser.
