Hi Hazel,

from what you have said below, try this;

a) to find your Windows version, clik on Start, then Control Panel, then look for an icon called Systems. When you see that clik on it, when it opens up it will tell you what version of Windows you are using (among other things like your Windows Product number etc.)

b) When you have an attachement that YOU cannot open, Right clik on it and see if you can open it with any other program listed. Failing this, go to Google and type the file attachment in the search bar, i.e. mime OR .jpg OR .pdf, OR .BMP...........
this should take you to a website that will tell you what type of file your attachment is and what you can use to open it.
A quicker way would be to go back to thesender and tell them to send the attachment as a different file type.

regards and good luck

Good Afternoon

Could you tell me what version of windows this is in as I cannot pick up any of the messages to help at all.

When I click on the folder to open it it states it is an unknow file type. I have had this in the past and it is the way the files have been attached.

Can anyone assist please.
Thanks a million
Hazel
