I'm getting it, but not via the list - unless you mean that sending
posts to the list attracts it. It comes direct. I've never had any
relayed by this or any other genealogy list.
I suspect that some spammer has subscribed to this and similar lists
and is harvesting the addresses. I used to use a munged "From:" address
and rely on the "Reply-To:", but have now moved to a mailer that won't
automatically provide the latter - and my ISP seems no longer to accept
the former.
Fortunately the mailer (Apple OSX Mail) has a very efficient mail
filter and most of it (over 20 a day these days) gets sidetracked into
a Junk folder.
Not only is there a lot of it, sometimes there are 6 (yes, SIX) copies
of the SAME message!
