Dear Mariene,
My cousin in England gave me the dates for Clement Dear and I have his
six siblings and most of their birth dates except for the Rev. William
who was the eldest.
I think my cousin has had to go to Church registers for quite a few
birth dates but he has not been able to find dates for the first
Richard Dear who married Sarah Goodman.
I think I need the census for Ventnor on the Isle of Wight for 1791 if
there was one as most of the Dear family were living there when the
1861 census was taken.
On Jeanagh'a recommendation, I looked through the Warwickshire
Ancestors Project at www.hunimex.com/warwick/w-a-p.html but there are
two sections with a Dear and a Goodman in them - nos. 3 and 4, but no
Christian names by which to identify them. No. 5 shows 18 Goodmans at
Hillmorton but no Sarah. There is another Goodman at Stockton. There
is also a Goodman in section 11 under Monumental Inscriptions - again
no first name.
