Don't laugh. What about Tamworth being pronounced Tamuth in Brum? The Thames River
(Tems in Brum), the is emphasis on "th" and "a" here in Connecticut (with a
silent "c"after the "e").We too have a Thames River. And if you have a problem
pronouncing "th" it becomes the Fames. Doreen, Ct., U.S.A.
