hi listers,
I have a book title ISLIP, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE, which was written by a Allan Gray in 1993. One of the contributers to this book was Mrs B.JEFFS of ISLIP. Other JEFFS mentioned in this book are Granny JEFFS she evidently ran a small sweet shop, she also manufactured her own ice cream, Does anyone know what Granny's name was. The book mentions that the first cottage in Islip to have electric lightening was part of what is now called Washington Cottage where Mr JEFFS was a tenant with his wife (above Granny) , What was Mr JEFFS christian name. Dot JEFFS delivered the milk by horse drawn cart in 1946. A 1940 school photo has a Vera JEFFS in it. As all my JEFFS family came from ISLIP i would to learn how all the above fit into my family. Can anyone help.
