Hi Valerie
I have an extensive database of Normans from Huntingdonshire &
Cambridgeshire extending back to the Domes day book. My own Father who
is still alive was born in St Neots.
I can identify at least 6 Joseph Normans born between 1775 & 1825.
None of them were known to live in St Neotts. I will send you details of
the 6 possibilities I have identified.
I cannot find a Martha Page but I have 12 possibilities for your John
Norman which I will also investigate further .
I hope we will find a link.
My St Neot`s Normans were all soldiers in the local Salvation Army
corps.

Parent's names John Norman born circa 1809, his wife Martha Page born circa 1811, their children Ann (1836), Mary (1837), Fanny (1839), George (1841) and William (1843). The family arrived in Australia in 1849. John's parents were Joseph and Mary Norman . According to immigration records in N.S.W. the family came from St Oats, Huntingdonshire. As I can find no town of this name I wondered if anyone has any ideas? Could it possibly be St Neots( I don't know how this is pronounced- would it rhyme with "oats" and have therefore caused a mistake?
