Hi Marilyn,

Thanks very much for posting your website address. I can see there is
plenty there to keep us occupied!

You have Isaac SHELLEY m. Sarah CARPENTER 1827 Lyndhurst. They were the
grandparents of Frederick Charles SHELLEY who married my great aunt Theresa
Emily SPRACKLING 1892 Boldre.

Looking back to Sarah's parents I too have them as George CARPENTER &
Elizabeth, née WATERMAN, m. 1805. However, there is then a problem in your
file that needs to be resolved. You have:-

Elizabeth Waterman-5386 [Parents] 1 was born on 26 Dec 1782 in Lyndhurst,
Hampshire, England. She was christened 2 on 26 Jan 1783 in Lyndhurst,
Hampshire, England. She was buried 3 on 16 Jul 1795 in Lyndhurst, Hampshire,
England. She married 4 George Carpenter-3466 on 30 Nov 1805 in Lyndhurst,
Hampshire, England.

As you can see she was buried before she married. She also had a younger
sister Elizabeth born 1797 so it can't have been her that was buried in 1795
nor her that married in 1805 but it does suggest that the first Elizabeth
had died. So it looks as if the burial is right but not the marriage.

Is it possible that this was a separate family?

Regards,

Michael Sprackling,
Birkenhead,
England.
