Here are more ELLIS from the Guion-Miller applications.

Rejected. 1. No ancestor ever enrolled.
2. No ancestors was party to the Treaties of 1835 36-46. 3. shows no real
connection with the Cherokee Tribe. Misc. Test. F. 341.

MISC. TEST. P. 341, No. 20433-20432 - Charlotte Emory:
"My name is Charlotte Emory and I reside at East Chattanooga, Tenn. I
was born in Hamilton Co., Tenn. in 1858. I make claim through my father,
Husey Ellis, who was a one-eighth Cherokee Indian. He was born in Hamilton
Co., Tenn. I do not kow when he was born, but he was 72 years old when he
died. My grandfather on my father's side was a half Cherokee Indian, and my
great-grandfather on my father's side was a full-blooded Cherokee Indian. I
cannot state where my father lived in 1851, or my grandfather in 1835. My
grandfather was Mose Ellis. I know of no enrollment of my parents or
grandparents as Indians. Mary Lynn (20432) and Nancy Ellis (20595) are my
sisters, and Thomas Ellis (20433) and Robert T. Ellis (20605) are my
brothers. This is all I know in reference to the matter." SIGNED:
