I am a descendant of Jannet Elliot and husband David Little through their sixth child, Thomas E. Little, born 1811 Scotland - death 1880 Kansas, USA.
Looking for any information regarding any siblings of the Elliot or Little lines.
Jannet Elliot born 1769 Topknow Head Scotland was the daughter of David Elliot and Ann Armstrong.

Death Feb 26, 1880, Glen Elder, Mitchell, Kansas. Marriage to Ann Elliot, Obituary 1896 Obituary "Little: Annie Elliott was born in Carlisle, England, July 17th, 1812. She married Thomas Little in the year 1832; to this union there were born seven children, four daughters and three sons. With her husband and family she came to America in 1837, and to Mitchell County, Kansas in 1870. Her husband preceded her in 1880. She died at the house of her son, five miles northwest of Glen Elder, December 26, 1896. Aged 83 years, 5 months and 9 days.
Thomas E. Little and wife Ann Elliott bore seven children, four daughters and three sons. The first two sons, David Little and George Little, would be born in England. A male christening for David Little was recorded May 24, 1835, Wetheral, Cumberland, England, noted as father Thomas Little and mother Ann Elliott. A male christening for George Little was recorded September 17, 1837, Wetheral, Cumberland, England, noted as father Thomas Little and mother Ann Elliott. Thomas and Ann Little, along with their two young sons, left England for America in 1837. Thomas E. Little family settled in Newport, Newport, Rhode Island. Five other Little children would be born in America, one son William James Little born March 23, 1843 and four daughters, Jane Litttle born about 1841, Margarett Ann Little born about 1847, Mary Elizabeth Little born about 1850 and Sarah E.(Ellen?) Little born about 1862. All the Little children would be raised in Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island.
Son David Little and Caroline A. Young, daughter of William and Caroline Young, were married November 3, 1859 in Newport, RI. There is no evidence of any Little children arising from this marriage. Caroline Amelia Little would remarry to Joseph Field Langley, August 8, 1864, in Providence, RI. Joseph Field Langley would remarry to Lydia Annie Hathaway, May 7, 1868 in Newport, RI. Son David Little, joined the 1st Regiment, Rhode Island Infantry, for 3 months 1861. Name David Little, Enlistment Date 17 Apr 1861, Enlistment Place Providence, Rhode Island, Side Served Union, State Served Rhode Island, Service Record Enlisted as a Private on 17 April 1861, Enlisted in Company F, 1st Infantry Regiment Rhode Island on 2 May 1861. Received a disability discharge from Company F, 1st Infantry Regiment Rhode Island on 31 May 1861. David J. Little, Union, RI 1st, INF Worcester, MA, is buried in Hope Cemetery, Worcester, MA, GAR Flag Holder, GAR Lot, row 1, 6 graves in from the left, no !

Son George Little would marry Helen or Ellen Bolten, May 8, 1861 in Newport, RI. The 1860 Federal Census, Newport, Newport County, RI indicated his future bride as Ellen Bolten, single, age 22, born about 1838 in England. Ellen Bolten was living with the family of James Graham 42, a grocer, Ann Graham 38, Margaret A Graham 11, Sarah A Graham 7, Alexander Asher 73.
The 1870 Federal Census, Independence, Buchanan County, IA, indicated the Little families of Thomas Little b ENG abt 1813 and Ann Little b ENG abt 1812, son William J. Little b RI 1842, and daughter Mary E. Little b RI abt 1850. The Little families may have left Rhode Island as early as 1861 by William J. Little's enlistment at age 18 into the military, or as late as 1867, with the birth son George Little's daughter Anna. Thomas E. Little and George Little famlilies were employed as day laborers. The George Little family was noted to be wife Ellen Little, son William A. Little b RI abt 1865, daughters Anna D. Little b IA abt 1867 and Mary E. Little b IA abt 1870.
The whereabouts of Little siblings Margarett Ann Little, Jane Little and Sarah E. Little have been lost to time after 1870.
1871 The Little Families move westward, homesteading in Glen Elder, Mitchell County, Kansas. Father Thomas E. Little and Sons William J. Little and George Little established homesteads Land Patents for Township 6 Range 9 West of the 6th Principal Meridian, Description: Section 5

Thomas E. Little, a Mexican War veteran, Elder of the Welsten Church, Wesleyan Methodist Connection of America, Mitchell County, Glen Elder, Kansas, preceded Ann Elliott Little dying of Pleurisy, February 26, 1880, aged 67 years, 2 months. He was laid to rest in Prairie Grove Cemetery near township of Cawker, Mitchell County, KS. At the time of his death in 1880, it was indicated he had lived in Mitchell County, KS for 9 years, placing his arrival in Kansas to be 1871.
