HILLSBORO - John Arthur Eller, 76, of Hillsboro died Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

He was born April 21, 1929, in Fayette County, the son of John Alfred and Sarah Frances Dilbeck Eller. He married Verna L. Cole in 1949 in Nokomis; she died in 2002. A son, Tom Eller, also preceded him in death.

Mr. Eller retired as a machine operator from Fiatallis. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors: son, Jim (wife, Patty) Eller of Olney; daughter, Julie (husband, Bernie) Huber of Hillsboro; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roy (wife, Virginia) Eller and Clifford (wife, Georgia) Eller, both of Nokomis; four sisters, Madge Ray and Evelyn (husband, John) Stevenson, both of Nokomis, Edith Pesko of Pana and Mildred (husband, Clyde) Hicks of Decatur; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services: 11 a.m. today, Sutton Funeral Home, the Rev. Roy Raymond Eller officiating. Burial: Nokomis Cemetery.
